5225-175 Incarcerated Persons Tracking (InPT)

The CDCR proposes to implement a modern, statewide enterprise level Incarcerated Persons Tracking solution as a proactive measure to address concerns of the courts pertaining to Armstrong plaintiffs and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. This solution will provide a centralized, standard method of monitoring, mitigating and reporting that will replace non-enterprise/non-standard automated and manual paper processes. The proposed solution will use a rugged mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, to collect information relating to Incarcerated Person monitoring and compliance. Staff will use the devices and intuitive software to perform various audits and capture different types of information related to ADA compliance and other inmate tracking.
